Handmade Decorated Fans by VoW Staff & Students
Poushali Adhikary showcased two beautifully handmade decorated pitchboard fans crafted by the staff and students of Voice of World Inclusive Education Centre. These fan pieces are a proud example of the creative skills nurtured at the centre — blending traditional craft with the individual expression of each maker. Each fan stands as a testament to the talent and dedication of the VoW community.
Art Session & Tiffin Time at Aaspriha Bhavan
All students at Voice of World Inclusive Education Centre, Aaspriha Bhavan engaged in a lively art session today — exploring colour, form and imagination through guided creative work. The photos also captured a warm tiffin time, where students shared a meal together, reflecting the close-knit family spirit that defines life at the centre.
Rani Mondal Shines as Centre of Attraction
Rani Mondal took centre stage at Voice of World Inclusive Education Centre, Aaspriha Bhavan this week — drawing praise from staff and families alike. Group members responded with warm words: “Nice teaching” and “Rani-r unnati dekhe khub bhalo lageche” (It is wonderful to see Rani’s progress). Her growth and confidence are a source of joy and inspiration for the whole VoW community.
MLA Raises Disability Allowance Issue in WB Assembly
CPI(M) MLA Mustafizur Rahman (Rana) raised the issue of increasing the disability allowance in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly this week. The development was shared within the VoW community by member Shailen Roy, who highlighted its significance for families of persons with disabilities. The VoW group welcomed this advocacy as an important step towards better state support for the disability community.
Helen Keller’s Birthday Celebrated with Music & Remembrance
The birthday of the great Helen Keller was celebrated with due dignity and warmth at Voice of World Inclusive Education Centre. Students performed on the harmonium and keyboard, singing together beneath the VoW “Lead Kindly Light” banner, while a garland was lovingly placed on Helen Keller’s portrait. The celebration honoured her extraordinary legacy — a life that transformed from darkness and silence into one of the world’s most inspiring stories of courage, learning and perseverance.
