Active Play & Exercise at Aaspriha Bhavan
Students at Voice of World Inclusive Education Centre, Aaspriha Bhavan spent time in active play and physical exercise — working with large exercise balls and guided movement alongside their teachers. These energetic sessions build coordination, strength and confidence, and are a joyful part of everyday life at the centre.
Free Smart Cane Distribution & Assistive-Tech Exhibition
A special programme has been announced for 8th July at the Voice of World Blind School auditorium in Behala, beginning at 10 AM. In a joint initiative with ‘Drishti’ and ‘Torched India’, high-quality smart canes will be distributed completely free of charge to visually impaired persons. The day will also feature an exhibition of modern assistive technology that helps blind people carry out everyday tasks independently.
June Birthdays Celebrated with Cake & Togetherness
Staff and students of Voice of World Inclusive Education Centre, Aaspriha Bhavan came together to celebrate the monthly birthdays of those born in June — Semul, Anwesha, Sanchita, Moinur and Namrata. A cake was cut to mark the occasion, followed by a shared meal enjoyed by all. The warm, family spirit of the celebration was a lovely reminder of the togetherness at the heart of Aaspriha Bhavan.
Daily Yoga for Students & Teachers
As International Yoga Day approached, the centre’s daily yoga practice was in full flow. In the words of the staff, “every day at Voice of World Inclusive Education Centre is a day dedicated to yoga for students and teachers.” Children were guided gently through poses and stretches that nurture both body and mind — the perfect preparation for the celebration ahead.
Students Craft Handmade Tricolour Decorations
Children at Aaspriha Bhavan made colourful decorations entirely by hand — including tricolour flags set on decorative bases — in a hands-on crafts session. The pieces were a charming display of the students’ creativity and skill, and added a festive, patriotic touch ahead of the week’s celebrations.
Voice of World Shines on International Yoga Day
On International Yoga Day, Voice of World students took to the stage at a grand multi-school celebration organised by the Padmasree Sailen Manna Nursery Football Academy. Our children performed yoga demonstrations and a stirring tricolour flag salute to warm applause. Distinguished guests were felicitated and certificates were presented during the programme, which brought together dozens of schools and organisations from across the region.
